This summer saw events both expected and surprising. I've sold work at a lovely gallery and shop on Dunoon high street for a while. The Meeting Place raises money for various mental health projects and alas a few weeks ago an arsonist did his worst and the whole place burnt down. Gutting to say the least. I really hope the lovely couple who run it can rise like a phoenix... One of the paintings lost in the fire was this Buddhist lotus painting. I loved it. Here it is when it was exhibited at a previous Cowal Open Studios exhibition:

Underneath it is one of my stone paintings, more of which are in the pipeline (as well as in my gallbladder). Anyway, onwards and upwards. The good news is I have a painting at FRONTEER GALLERY in Sheffield and one at OBSIDIAN GALLERY in Stoke Mandeville! Plus I had a lovely time at Dunoon summer market, here I am bending someone's ears, possibly moaning about how I could have painted on paper or canvas like a normal person but oh no, I chose slate, the heaviest thing known to humankind (if you are carrying it yourself whilst also trying to carry a coffee, your phone, and keys).

Swing by the painting and slate pages for some new designs and let me know if anything tickles your fancy - there are name slates and some seascapes and all sorts of colourful things to brighten a corner! Thanks to Craig Coultman-Smith for photos and web wizardry. And remember - by buying from me you're helping support a small (5 foot 1?!) local artist and my endeavour to bring arty joy from Dunoon to you! Please use the contact page to add yourself to my mailing list (infrequent, exclusive and nothing bad, i promise!)
